What We DON'T Collect

We collect absolutely no personal data. Here's what we DON'T do:

  • No Document Data: Your PDF files are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers
  • No Personal Information: No names, emails, addresses, or contact details
  • No Usage Analytics: No tracking of what features you use or how often
  • No Device Information: No collection of device specs, OS version, or system details
  • No Location Data: No GPS, IP address logging, or location tracking
  • No Behavioral Data: No monitoring of user behavior or preferences
  • No Cookies or Trackers: No web tracking technologies in the app
  • No Third-Party Analytics: No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services
  • No Crash Reports: No automatic error reporting or crash analytics
  • No Network Connections: The app works completely offline

How FileStitcher Works

FileStitcher operates entirely on your local device:

  1. You drag and drop PDF files into the application
  2. All processing happens using your Mac's local resources
  3. Merged PDFs are saved to your chosen location on your hard drive
  4. No data ever leaves your device during this process
  5. No internet connection is required or used

Payment Processing

While FileStitcher itself collects no data, payment processing is handled by secure third-party services:

  • Stripe: Processes credit card payments securely
  • We don't store: Credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment details
  • We only receive: Confirmation that payment was successful
  • Your rights: All payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy

Once payment is confirmed, you receive download access. We don't link your payment to your app usage since the app operates offline.

Website vs. Application

This policy covers both our website and the FileStitcher application:

  • Website (filestitcher.com): May use basic web analytics to improve our marketing
  • FileStitcher App: Collects absolutely no data and operates completely offline

The application's privacy protection is independent of the website. Even if you visit our website, the app itself maintains complete privacy.

Data Security

Since we don't collect your data, there's no risk of data breaches affecting your information:

  • No Servers: We don't maintain servers with your data
  • No Databases: No user databases that could be compromised
  • Local Encryption: Your Mac's built-in security protects your files
  • No Network Risk: No data transmission means no interception risk

Children's Privacy

FileStitcher is safe for users of all ages since we don't collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents can be confident that their children's privacy is protected when using FileStitcher.

International Users

FileStitcher works the same way worldwide. Since all processing is local and we don't collect data, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns. Your privacy is protected regardless of your location.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our approach to privacy (though we have no plans to), we'll update this policy and notify users. However, our commitment to local processing and zero data collection is core to FileStitcher's design.

Privacy in Plain English

We built FileStitcher because we believe your private documents should stay private. The app works completely on your Mac, never sending your files anywhere. We don't collect your data because we don't need it—and more importantly, because it's not ours to take.
